Residents of Kithiru village in Chogoria ward of Maara Subcounty are in shock following a suspected case of defilement meted on a cow belonging to one Eliphas Kubai.
The cow was seen lying helplessly outside it’s shed following what neighbors suspect was an indecent act of bestiality by a group of men.
“From look of things, it is evident that the act was done by a group of up to six men as the calf cannot even walk or stand by its own following the beastly act,” a neighbor to Kubai told a vernacular Radio station.
Area Assistant Chief Mr. Jasper Gitonga confirmed the incident, and vowed to bring the culprits to book in in collaboration with Nyumba Kumi leaders.
“I wonder why our men would stoop this low. As women in this village, we have never denied anyone good company. They should approach us any time instead of turning to our animals.” says a neighbor on condition of anonymity.
