1. Governor Kawira Mwangaza and her family supports a genuine quest to get Justice for Sniper.
2. The Governor and her family have been patient and silent all along, to give the relevant authorities time to conclude investigations.
3. In recent days, there have been several political rallies in Meru County, where Governor Kawira Mwangaza and her family members have been adversely mentioned. Her son, sister and the first gentleman have also been mentioned in these political rallies.
4. In the Mainstream Media, there have been several fabricated stories implicating the Governor’s firstborn son with the murder. The family had to enroll him for counselling due to the trauma he suffered.
5. Several KIBIRI politicians – MPs and MCAs alike, have been spearheading a smear campaign against the Governor. They have openly stated that Sniper was killed inside the Governor’s residence. All this while, the family maintained their cool.
6. Authorities have not questioned any of these leaders, despite their public comments that they know who killed Sniper, and where he was killed.
7. The Governor’s Official Residence is guarded 24/7 by officers from the Kenya Police Service.
8. Ordinarily, whenever such a murder happens in Kenya, even in ordinary estates or entertainment joints, CCTV footages are released almost immediately. It’s shocking that the investigating authorities were not interested in the footage from the Governor’s residence. They only appeared one month later, hours after the Governor questioned the unusual delay.
9. Even after picking the CCTV records, the findings from the analysis are yet to be made public. This is amidst an ongoing smear campaign targeting the Governor, with allegations that the Governor met, slapped and handed Sniper over to his killers.
10. It was reported that Sniper left home to meet the Governor. The DCI have capacity to unveil his movements, and who was with him at any given time.
11. The Governor’s family is reading malice in all this. A good course to seek justice for Sniper has been turned into a political witch-hunt.
12. When the key suspect, one Supuu o Mioro was being pursued by the DCI, the person who tried to hide him was DMK Kiogora. To arrest Supuu o Mioro, the DCI had to track DMK’s movements. Supuu o Mioro has been in constant communication with several people from the KIBIRI movement.
13. Governor Kawira Mwangaza has never communicated with Supuu o Mioro on phone. Supuu o Mioro does not work for Kawira Mwangaza, as reported in the mainstream media.
14. Ken Murangiri is facing murder charges because he received a phone call from Supuu o Mioro on that fateful day.
15. KIBIRI politicians are using Sniper’s body for business. They have so far pocketed millions, as the widow and children remain helpless.
16. Kawira Mwangaza’s family has suffered so much ridicule for several years by well-known people. Nobody has ever harmed them in any way.
17. There is no single video where Sniper criticized Governor Kawira Mwangaza or the first Gentleman. In fact, Sniper harshly criticized Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi. The nickname Sniper originated from one such videos against Hon. Linturi.
18. Certain politicians want to mess up the UDA Party in Meru. Evans Mawira was immediately kicked out from the Majority Leader seat, for opting to work with the Governor. The First Gentleman is a bonafide member of the Party, and will contest in the upcoming grassroot elections.
19. It’s shocking that people are getting permits to move around with PA systems, shouting that Kawira Mwangaza is a murderer. The Governor has reported these meetings, but no action has been taken by the relevant authorities.
20. Now that the investigations have been concluded, the Governor decided to give her version of the story. She will continually do this every day, until the whole truth is known by everyone.
21. Supuu o Mioro was in communication with several other people on the fateful day. None of these people have been questioned.
22. Even after labelling the Governor’s residence a crime scene, the investigating authorities have not issued any statement about their findings. The Governor has a responsibility to defend the integrity of her office.
23. Meru politicians allied to the KIBIRI Movement are taking advantage of Sniper’s murder to seek relevance. The Governor is ready to face them come 2027 on the ballot.
24. The Governor has severally made attempts to reconcile and work with Meru MCAs. However, her efforts have always been resisted by certain Party officials, with unwarranted threats and punishment to the MCAs for ‘disloyalty’.
25. The Governor will henceforth not ignore the ongoing slander perpetrated by KIBIRI bloggers and sponsored headlines in the mainstream media. Everyone must be ready to face the legal repercussions of their own actions.
