The North Imenti Sakata Kadanda tournament comes to an end today with the semi finals and finals expected at the Kaaga Primary grounds.
The tournament sponsored by North Imenti MP Hon. Rahim Dawood has seen 48 teams drawn from all wards in the constituency compete in efforts to clinch the top prize.
The first Semi Final will see Pace battling it out with Ndunga at Kaaga Primary. In another Semi Final fixture, Meru Police will face Dynamo at Kinoru Primary.
The losers in both semifinals will face off in the playoffs early in the afternoon, while the finalists will contend for the top prize in a thrilling encounter starting 3pm.
The winning team will take home Ksh 200,000 while the first runners up scoops Ksh 150,000. The second runners up gets Ksh 100,000 while the 4th team pockets Ksh 50,000 this afternoon.
According to Hon. Rahim, several other teams participating in the competition will also be rewarded, with other cash prizes to volleyball teams and ladies football.
The tournament that kicked off mid January has seen 48 teams from all wards battle it out in efforts to reach the finals.
Pool A matches were played at Chugu Primary, consisting of RCC, KEMU, Njukinjiru Keepers and Ngiine FC. None of these made it to the semi-finals.
In Pool B, Marimba Sakata, Meru Legends, Milimani Foxes, Mjini Stars and Mutindwa Bombers. Matches played at Kinoru Primary.
Pool C: Dragons, Runogone, Mutikuuma, Supervisor, Kathithi and Meru City. Matches played at Mwirine Primary.
Pool D: Rising Shining Stars, Chugu, Kambiti KCA, Gachanka, Dunga and Mbeu. Matches played at Mulathankari Primary.
Pool E: Kainginyo, Nkabune Strikers, Munithu, Al Azizia, Giaki and Mutindwa Youth. Matches played at Nkabune TTI.
Pool F: Mpuri, Nchaure, Wembe, New Saints, Black Panther and Romans. Matches played at Nthimbiri Primary.
Pool G: Dynamo, Mwirine Mbogi, Mwanika, Galaxy, Karirwara and Mwangaza. Matches played at Gachanka Primary.
Pool H: Meru Police, Rwanyange, Gachua Pace, Kithoka, Spartans and Goshen. The matches were played at Giaki Primary.
