Popular Comedian and TV Host MC Jessy has ditched Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s Mbus outfit for DP Ruto’s UDA ahead of the 2022 general election.
MC Jessy had previously hinted at facing Gideon Kimathi in the Mbus primaries, but now insists that UDA is the popular outfit in South Imenti.
According to the popular comedian, his decision to join UDA comes after intense consultations with several South Imenti residents.
“It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people I have officially been invited to join UDA. The ground work that has been done has finally landed on the side of winning team,” says MC Jessy.
MC Jessy joins a growing list of persons form the entertainment field who are eyeing various political seats in the 2022 general election, among them singer Ruftone who is eyeing the Nairobi senatorial seat and Radio Host Jalas seeking the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat.
The comedian also revealed that the Deputy President personally called him in efforts to convince him to join the UDA Party.
“When I got the call from the Chief Hustler Inviting me, I had to heed my People’s call and his call to join the winning Team. And may the work of redefining South Imenti Now begin,” he says.
