Once again, Kenyans have launched a dig at the deputy president William Samoei Ruto for what they term as running a PR show.
This came after Ruto visited a hotel by the name hustlers’ hotel in Kiirua region, Meru county.
Accompanied by other UDA leaders from Meru county, the Deputy President enjoyed his lunch at the hotel before leaving for a rally in Meru town.
Later reports emerged that the hotel which is located opposite Kiirua Mission had been closed and that it was just painted the previous day and was meant for the occasion.
Neighboring residents said that the house was a vacant room before that day and that the things inside had been ferried at night.
A resident by the name Mark Muthomi said, “Strangers spent the whole of last night preparing this house and in the morning we were shocked to see it as a hotel.”
This report has brought mixed reactions among the Kenyans with some condemning the act while others are claiming its a way of defaming the Deputy President.
