South Imenti MP Kathuri Murungi says Dp Ruto’s Meru tour was a great success, thanks to the people’s warm reception in all the towns.
In a message shared on his Official Social Media pages this morning, Mr. Murungi says the reception accorded to DP Ruto allover Meru County was exceptional.
“Thank you Ameru Nation for the very warm reception that you accorded the Deputy President during his two day’s meet the people tour and empowerment programme to different Hustler groups across the county,” he says.
According to Hon. Murungi, Meru County residents fully support UDA’s bottom up economic model and will unanimously support DP Ruto’s candidature in the 2022 general election.
“Meru is united under Hustler Nation. Those trying to sell Mr. Odinga in Meru are obviously wasting their time,” he says.
A section of Meru residents are in agreement with the South Imenti legislator, terming him a true footsoldier who worked tirelessly to ensure the meetings were a great success.
“Meru is Rutonated. South Imenti is Kathurinated. Form ni UDA, Kazi ni Kazi yaani bottom-up. God bless,” says Enedy Mukami.
“Uling’ara sana Mheshimiwa. It showed just how much you are in command of Imenti. Now we can see why it wasn’t easy for Baba going South. You are currently the most influential elected male leader in Meru,” says Mr. Ng’olua.
“You are very tactical and truly listen to the people, the deputy president is getting real with issues concerning majority of Kenyans.. My honorable leader mbele iko sawa lets change this nation,” says Kennedy Mureti.
However, a section of Kiraitu Murungi supporters maintain that the Meru people will only vote in accordance with Kiraitu’s guidance.
“Kathuri have been always with you for everything but when it comes to this am out. Am thinking of you but Ruto can’t get my vote and will never win. Trust me. Otherwise baba is the 5th,” says Phinoo Tosh.
The Deputy President concluded his Meru tour yesterday, having made several stop overs in Mikinduri, Maua, Kiengu, Antubetwe, Laare, Mutuati, Kangeta, Muriri, Kianjai and Nchiru towns. On Tuesday he also adressed rallies in Githongo, Nkubu, Mitunguu, Gakoromone and Makutano.
