Jubilee nominated MP Hon Halima Mucheke issued wheelbarrows to hawkers in Municipality Ward, North Imenti Constituency, Meru County.
Hon Halima urged leaders to compete on the platform of development track-record, issues and ideas that will transform the nation and uplift the living standards of the ordinary mwananchi rather than engage in retrogressive politics that will divide the country further.
Hosting a group of hawkers in Meru town, Hon Halima further urged the young people to engage in entrepreneurship to boost their living standards and stay away from drug abuse & crime.
“Kila husstle ni husstle, usichague kazi bora iwe ni hussle inayokubalika” Hon Halima appealed.
On their part, the hawkers through their spokesman thanked mheshimiwa for the new year gifts and promised to work hard to improve their livelihoods.
The exercise is part of empowerment programs that Hon Halima has been sponsoring to foster economic growth among people with widows, youths and PLWD’s being her prime focus.
