Hi Meru Daily News, My name is Kagendo, 23 years old, currently living with my family in Meru.
My dad is an ex-soldier. He was wounded while on duty in 2003. He was compensated and built us a nice 3 bedroom house, bought a second hand car and cleared my school fees and that of my younger brother.
Unfortunately, his health situation worsened last year after suffering brain damage. He hardly recalls anything, not even our names. My mum sold the car and used the funds to set up a shop at the shopping center.
My worry is that she recently relocated my father to a small shelter next to the kitchen. It’s a single room that served as our cereals store. She locks him in and keeps the key to herself. Sometimes he spends the entire day hungry. He is always dirty.
I also recently discovered that mum has an affair with the village Chief. He spends the nights with her almost every weekend at her matrimonial bed.
I don’t know whether to confront her or remain silent. My brother is too young to share with. Mum doesn’t entertain our aunties and uncles around.
Please help.
