Aspiring Imenti North Imenti MP Carol Karimi Muriuki today delivered on her promise to youths in Chugu with a new pool table and a carwash machine.
According to Carol, this is part of her long term commitment to youth empowerment in the constituency.
Earlier in the day, the aspiring MP commissioned the renovated Church Manse at a church in Kambereu. The church facility was also equipped it with new seats, a TV set and a refrigerator.
“I love to do and support the work of God,” she says.
Carol Muriuki has in the past few months embarked on a series of several meet the people meetings in North Imenti in efforts to popularize her bid for the parliamentary seat in the forthcoming elections.
According to Carol Karimi, her resolve is to bring what she terms the much desired change to North Imenti constituency.
“It is true we have been neglected and rejected for long but time for meaningful change is nigh. North Imenti has come of age we will and must demand for services and this will happen through the ballot,” she says.
Carol says that women in Meru have a vital role in the political space, and must come out in their numbers to make this happen.
“Women too have a space in the political arena and we should move out and let our voices be heard too. Women are a vital and integral part of our community and we should support them and give them an equal chance in leadership and development, She says.
Other candidates in the race include nominated MP Halima Mucheke, Ken Wakili and the incumbent, Hon Rahim Dawood.
